Priced by a builder
Pricing comes from real job costs on jobs that were sold and built, not a national pricing database or an overseas takeoff service.

Send your plans, photos or a walkthrough video. In 2 to 5 business days you get a complete estimate and a client-ready proposal under your company name, with the full scope, labor and materials included, and exclusions spelled out for every section.
Totals are estimated from the founder's estimating records since 2008.

Smaller kitchens and baths come back sooner; full guts and larger jobs take longer. You get the timeline before we start, so you can tell your client when to expect a number.
We price with your labor rates, markup and terms, and the proposal goes out under your company name. You set the final price.
A real two-bathroom remodel from the founder's files, client details removed. Every format carries the same full scope: what the work is, the labor included, the materials included, and what's not included.
Prices are from the original approved proposal. Your proposals use your own logo, rates, markup, payment schedule and terms.
Plans, photos, measurements or a walkthrough video, plus your labor rates, markup and any sub quotes you already have.
Quantities, labor, materials, subs and general conditions, priced section by section with clear inclusions and exclusions.
The estimate and proposal arrive under your name. Adjust anything, set your final price, and send it to your client.

About 4 full workdays a month back for selling and running jobs.

I'm Jose Peña. I've estimated, sold and built kitchens, baths and full renovations in New Jersey since 2008, and I price the jobs myself. I started The BidSmith to put that experience behind other remodelers' bids.
My own remodeling company only works in Hudson County, so I'm not competing for your clients.
My own remodeling company only takes work in Hudson County, NJ, and The BidSmith works with contractors outside it. Your pricing, plans and customers are used only for your jobs.
Yours. The proposal goes out under your company name and logo.
Yes. Estimates are built on your labor rates, markup, payment schedule, warranty and contract terms. If you don't have those set yet, ask about catalog and cost-per-hour setup.
2 to 5 business days, depending on the size of the project. Smaller kitchens and baths come back sooner; full guts and whole-home renovations take longer. You get the timeline when you send the job.
Plans if you have them, or photos, measurements and a walkthrough video, plus your rates and any sub quotes you already have.
Pricing starts from 18 years of real job costs and is adjusted to your rates and market. You review every estimate and set the final price before it goes out.
For additions and other jobs with heavy sub work, I write a scope sheet for each trade so every sub prices the same work. You send them to your subs, or I collect the quotes for you as an add-on. I compare the quotes side by side, flag anything left out, and build them into the proposal with your markup. Until a quote comes in, that trade is carried as an allowance. Need a number sooner? A budget estimate uses my cost data with the sub trades shown as allowances. Your subs set their own prices, so you confirm their quotes before the proposal goes out.
Every estimate includes one round of revisions, and any mistake in my math or scope is fixed free. Refunds are available before work starts. Once the final proposal is delivered, the fix is a revision rather than a refund. Full terms are in the service agreement you accept before work begins.
No. The BidSmith works only with contractors and remodeling companies, and I verify your company and license before starting.
Single estimates are paid in full once I confirm the price, before work starts. Quoted jobs like brownstones and additions start with a 50% deposit, and you see a watermarked preview of the finished proposal before paying the balance. The clean, client-ready file is sent once the balance is in. 3-packs are paid up front and used within 90 days. Retainers are billed monthly in advance; add-ons and change orders on retainer work are priced separately, with a $100 minimum each. Bank transfer (ACH) and card are accepted.
Email the plans or photos and tell me what you need priced. I usually reply within one business day with the price and turnaround.
